Regulatory & Process Sampling

At the core of our business, we help clients stay compliant with environmental and regulatory obligations, as well as meet product specifications, through expert regulatory and process sampling and testing. This is where we began and continue to excel.

Our skilled field samplers are trained to safely and accurately collect representative samples of your process fluids, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. We specialize in customizing our sampling methods to fit your unique needs, ensuring seamless integration with the required analytical testing.

Additionally, we offer specialized services such as benzene emissions testing to ensure compliance with environmental regulations..

Comprehensive Sampling and Testing Services

We provide sampling for a wide variety of fluids, including:

  • Crude oil

  • Bitumen

  • Sweet and Sour Gases

  • Condensates

  • NGLs

  • Glycols

  • Produced waters

Our services support a wide range of analytical methods, including but not limited to:

  • Total Vapor Pressure (TVP)

  • Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP)

  • Gas in Solution (GIS)

  • Gas-to-Oil Ratio (GOR)

  • Extended Gas (C15+), Extended Liquid (C30+)

  • Trace Sulfur

  • Air/N2 Contamination in Gas

  • Routine Gas, Condensate, Oil, and Produced Water Analysis

  • Flash Point Testing

Field Testing & Customized Solutions

In the field, we also offer specialized tests, such as:

  • Water and hydrocarbon dew points in gas

  • H2S testing (Tutwiler and length-of-stain tube methods)

  • Impinger tests

  • Millipore residue filtration

We pride ourselves on problem-solving, and our team has developed custom sampling and testing methods designed to meet the specific requirements of our clients. Whatever your needs, we deliver precise, safe, and quality solutions.

Benzene Emissions Testing

In partnership with Element Materials Technology, we offer Total Capture Testing for benzene emissions from glycol dehydrators. Unlike predictive methods that estimate emissions based on operating parameters and inlet gas composition, our method directly measures actual emissions, providing more accurate and reliable results.

For Alberta, we ensure compliance with AER Directive 39, which outlines a revised program to reduce benzene emissions from glycol dehydrators. Similar regulations are in place in British Columbia and Saskatchewan to limit benzene emissions.

Based in Edmonton, AB, we provide this crucial service across all of Western Canada, ensuring environmental safety and regulatory compliance throughout the region.
